Crypto Twitter Directory: what the record says, and what it does not

How a directory listing works

1. Connect the account. You sign in with X. The X user id that comes back is the proof that the handle is yours, and that is the only thing it is used for. The read of your timeline is yours to authorise and yours to withdraw.
2. The ledger is built once, then kept. Every post naming a resolvable token becomes a row: the post, its id and its date, the token resolved to one id, the price then and the price now, and where both prices came from. A post whose token cannot be resolved without guessing is listed as not scored rather than guessed at.
3. The score reads the ledger and nothing else. Direction, horizon, hit rate and return against Bitcoin, on the same window and the same formula for everyone. A listing fee, a verified badge and a sponsored slot are three separate things and none of them is the score.

What a listing does and does not buy

A listing buys a page, a badge and the ledger being kept up to date. It does not buy a position: the leaderboard reads the score, the score reads the ledger, and the ledger has no payment column. It does not buy the right to edit a row either. What a claimant may change is words - their bio, their links, what they are working on now - and they may attach a reply to any row, dispute a row, or take the page down entirely. The numbers are computed the same way for every account on the same window, and nothing anyone pays changes one of them.

Common questions

Is it a subscription?

No. One payment, once, and there is nothing to renew. Your page stays and your receipts keep updating with your posts for as long as you want the page up, and you can take it down at any time, which deletes the copy of your posts we derived from.

Does paying move me up the leaderboard?

No, and that is enforced rather than promised: the leaderboard reads the score, the score reads the ledger, and the ledger has no payment column. There is a test that pays for a listing, buys a sponsored slot on top and asserts the ranking is byte-identical.

Can I edit my ledger?

No. You can edit words, your bio, your links, what you are working on now, and you can attach a reply to any row in your ledger, which shows next to it. You cannot edit, hide or reorder a row, because a ledger you can edit is not a receipt.

What if a row is wrong?

Dispute it. A disputed row is suspended from your score until a person reads it, and it says on the page that it is disputed while that is happening. If the row is wrong it is corrected and why is recorded.

Can I leave?

Yes, at any time and without asking. Withdrawing unpublishes your page and deletes the copy of your posts we derived from; your posts stay yours and stay on X. What the record keeps is that a page existed and was withdrawn, which is the one thing it has to keep to be honest about its own history.

Why is my page here if I never asked for it?

Because a public record already published your name, your handle and what you work on, and this directory reproduces public records. A stub carries nothing that page did not publish: no posts, no followers, no score. If you would rather it was not here, say so and it comes down.
